Good Shepherd provides assistance to the elderly in three primary ways.
Faith Link. Faith Link is an organization whose primary purpose is to assist the elderly by assisting with transportation, food, and companionship, as needed. There is no charge for Faith Link assistance. Please contact Faith Link directly at (304) 424-3457, extension 211. Food Pantry. Anyone who meets the requirements of the Wood County Food Co-op is eligible for food. Call the church office to find out if you are eligible and to schedule an appointment with the Food Pantry. See the menu item "Need Food" in this section for additional information on the Food Pantry.
Discretionary Fund. Assistance in paying bills is available to the elderly, but this is a first-come-first-served assistance and is not always available. See the menu item "Help with bills or prescriptions" in this section to learn how Good Shepherd can help with paying some of your bills.
