ELDERLY HELP

Good Shepherd provides assistance to the elderly in three primary ways.

The first is Faith Link. Faith Link is an organization that's primary purpose is to assist the elderly. It provides transportation, food, and companionship, as needed. There is no charge for Faith Link assistance. You can call the Good Shepherd office at (304) 428-1525 or contact Faith Link directly at (304) 424-3457, extension 211. Manna Meals. Anyone who meets the requirements of the Wood County Food Co-op is eligible for food. Call the church office to find out if you are eligible and to schedule an appointment with the Food Pantry. See the menu item in this section for additional information on Manna Meals.

Discretionary Fund. Assistance in paying bills is available to the elderly, but this is a first come first served assistance and is not always available. See the menu item in this section for additional information about help with paying bills.
